Eve Stone Antiques, Ltd. was
founded in 1970 by Eve Stone .The business is a full time profession for
her and her daughter Susan. The first shop we had was in the carriage
house of her home on Martha's Vineyard, where she carried a wonderful
assortment of English and American country, yet there was always a
smattering of copper and brass. We now specialize in 16th-19th century
copper and brass, including lighting, fireplace equipment, copper
cookware, and decorative accessories. We also deal in tobacco related
items including snuff and tobacco boxes. As well as selling, we are always
buying and invite you to offer us pieces that you think may be of interest
to us. (see Our
Online Collection)
In 1979 Eve was the first American to do The
Olympia Antiques Show in London with American quilts. In 1985 she opened
in Woodbury, Connecticut and in 1988 in New York City at The Place des
Antiquaires. As time went on, she streamlined the business to specialize
specifically in period copper and brass from England and the Continent.
Eve is nationally known as an expert in the field of copper and brass, and
is regularly asked to lecture at some of the 27 charity antiques shows
that we do annually. Some of the shows include: The Henry Ford Museum
Antiques Show, Dearborn, MI, The San Francisco Fall Antiques Show, San
Francisco, CA, The New York Fall Antiques Show at The Armory, New York,
NY, and The Los Angeles Antiques Show, Los Angeles, CA. Eve Stone
Antiques, Ltd. has had the honor of appearing on Martha Stewart Living
Television three times, as well as House and Garden Television.
Besides the show schedule we have a full-time
shop in Woodbridge, Connecticut. Do come an visit us at our shop in
Connecticut or a show in your area (see Show Schedule).
