English Victorian Copper Lion Mould

An excellent quality, early Victorian , English copper mould with a lion to the top. Marked only with a pattern number ’82’. Date: c.1840.  8″ long by 4 3/4″ wide by  6 3/4″ high. The lion to the top of this mould is exceptionally well molded, with very fine detail.The sides of the moulds are plain. The mould is made from an extremely  heavy gauge of copper and it has a castellated seam down the one side. It is in excellent condition. This is  one of the finest lion moulds that we have ever seen. Circa 1850
